Frequently asked questions

What is a Hyperliquid builder code?
A Hyperliquid builder code is an on-chain mechanism that lets third-party apps — wallets, trading bots, social trading platforms — earn a fee on orders they route through Hyperliquid on behalf of their users. The user signs a one-time approval setting a maximum fee rate any specific builder can charge. The actual fee per trade is set by the builder per-order and can never exceed the approved ceiling. Approvals can be revoked at any time by signing a new approval with maxFeeRate set to 0%.
What is goodcryptoX, and why would I approve its builder fee?
goodcryptoX brings advanced trading to Hyperliquid — DCA and Grid bots, TradingView webhooks, and advanced order types like trailing stops — on web, iOS, and Android. Approving our builder code is what unlocks that. The fee you approve is the protocol maximum, but the actual fee you pay can be heavily discounted by your trading volume, GOOD holdings, referrals, and either a subscription tier or Ultimate NFT — combined, up to ~90% off.
How do I approve goodcryptoX's builder fee with Rabby / Coinbase Wallet / Trust / Ledger?
Connect your wallet at the top of this page — we support every major EVM wallet via WalletConnect, including Rabby, Coinbase Wallet, Trust, Phantom (in EVM mode), OKX, and Ledger. Click Approve, sign in your wallet, done. The signature happens entirely in your wallet — your private keys never leave your device.
Why does my main wallet need to sign, not my API/agent wallet?
Hyperliquid's protocol requires that builder fee approvals be signed by the main wallet that controls the account, not a delegated API or agent wallet. This is a security feature: it prevents a compromised agent from setting up unauthorized fee arrangements.
How secure is signing the builder-fee approval?
The signature uses EIP-712 typed-data that your wallet displays in human-readable form before you sign — you can see exactly what's being approved (the builder address and the max fee rate), nothing hidden. Wallet connections go through WalletConnect and the standard wallet adapters used across most major web3 apps — we don't introduce a custom signing path. The approval is a signed message, not an on-chain transaction, so there's no gas to pay and no funds at risk during signing. You can revoke at any time by signing a new approval at 0%.
How do I revoke a builder code approval?
Once connected, click Revoke under your goodcryptoX approval to clear it. To revoke any other builder, open Manage other builders, paste the builder address, and click Revoke once the status loads. Each revoke is a fresh signature with maxFeeRate set to 0% — Hyperliquid treats that as a revocation of the builder code. The change is on-chain immediately.
What is the maximum fee goodcryptoX can charge?
The on-chain ceiling we ask you to approve is 1% on spot trades and 0.1% on perps trades — these are Hyperliquid's protocol caps, not our typical charge. On spot, fees are only collected on sell orders, not buys — so the effective max across a buy + sell cycle is 0.5%, half the 1% ceiling. The actual fee you pay is much lower thanks to stackable discounts based on trading volume, GOOD token holdings, referrals, and either a subscription tier or Ultimate NFT — combined, up to ~90% below the ceiling. Where can I see my current builder fee approvals?
Connect your wallet above and the page shows your current goodcryptoX approval status; the Manage other builders section lets you look up any other builder by address. You can also see active approvals natively in app.hyperliquid.xyz under More → Builder Codes.
Can I approve a builder that isn't in your list?
Yes. Open Manage other builders, paste any Hyperliquid builder address with your chosen max fee rate, and approve. Useful if you trade through a smaller or newer builder, or if you want to manage existing approvals.
Is this page run by Hyperliquid or by goodcryptoX?
This page is built and operated by goodcryptoX. We're a Hyperliquid builder ourselves. The page is open to anyone managing builder fee approvals — you don't need a goodcryptoX account to use it. The signing happens entirely in your wallet; we don't custody anything and don't store your address or signatures on our servers.
I signed but nothing happened — what now?
A few common causes. (1) Your Hyperliquid perps account hasn't been funded yet — deposit any amount at app.hyperliquid.xyz first, then come back. (2) The builder you're approving doesn't have enough perps balance to receive fees (Hyperliquid requires the builder to hold ≥100 USDC) — try a different builder, or reach out to the builder's team and let them know. (3) Some wallets occasionally fail to deliver the signature back to the page. Disconnect, reconnect, and try again. If the issue persists, try a different wallet or reach out on our Telegram.
