Coinbase Opens a Global Crypto ‘Think Tank’
Coinbase is attempting a new strategy to influence the conversation as the crypto business comes under increasing scrutiny from legislators and the media: a “global crypto-native think tank.”
The Coinbase Institute, established on Tuesday, will “cut across many disciplines and provide expert analysis and insights about what’s happening in the global crypto economy.”
The Coinbase Institute has already released its first paper, “Crypto and the Climate,” which argues that the industry’s high energy consumption is frequently justifiable and adds to new kinds of energy efficiency and long-term sustainability.
Peckshield, posing as Terra Fork, sounds the alarm on a honeypot
Peckshield, a blockchain security organization, issued a warning to investors yesterday regarding a freshly installed honeypot on Binance Smart Chain (BSC) posing as “Terra Luna Classic” (LUNC). The scammers capitalized on Do Kwon’s announcement that Terra would fork with no stablecoin UST, and the honeypot was born.

SAFEMARS is a protocol for autonomous yield and liquidity creation.
SAFEMARS operates by levying a 4% fee on all transactions. This fee is applied as follows: 2% is delivered to SAFEMARS holders promptly and without gas consumption.
The SAFEMARS protocol will automatically pay bonuses to holders for each transaction, as well as auto-locking the liquidity by burning the BNB/SAFEMARS LP tokens indefinitely, according to SAFEMARS. The firm believes that by making these daily burns clear and observable on the blockchain, the token becomes “unruggable.”
