Weekly Market Summary
On Jan. 24, South Korean exchange Bithumb announced that it would block crypto withdrawals to unverified private wallets. Withdrawals to any domestic centralized exchange and foreign centralized exchanges with a strict KYC process are still available.
The innovation comes into force on Jan. 27, 2022, according to the blog.
The son of the former US president, Eric Trump, posted a threatening tweet against the creators of TrumpCoin. He accuses them of fraudulently using the name of his family.
Approximately 24 hours after the threat, TrumpCoin’s Twitter account holders responded by highlighting a disclaimer on their website that the coin was in no way affiliated with the Trump family or any of its associated companies.

YouTube to Consider NFT Integration
YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki has released an annual letter, laying out the company’s priorities, where she hints at new options related to NFTs.
“We’re always focused on expanding the YouTube ecosystem to help creators capitalize on emerging technologies, including things like NFTs, while continuing to strengthen and enhance the experiences creators and fans have on YouTube,” she wrote in her letter.
The YouTube press service has not commented on how exactly this will be implemented on the platform yet. Presumably, it can be fan tokens or author’s NFT collections.
OpenSea may add Solana network support
Crypto blogger Jane Manchun Wong has discovered the integration of a Solana network on the OpenSea platform. In addition, he accidentally discovered the hidden wallet login feature, which will allow users to log in to the platform with the Phantom.
Representatives of the OpenSea didn’t officially confirm or deny the fact of possible Solana support and just left a comment under the blogger’s post on Twitter, tagging him and the official Phantom wallet account.
- Spot trading: On the spot trading front, Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin (BTC) have become top dogs. NEAR Protocol (NEAR) is following these two head on with Fantom (FTM) and Cardano (ADA) taking fourth and fifth places.
- Derivatives: Bitcoin (BTC) and Synthetix (SNX) have become the most traded currencies as to trading derivatives. Polygon (MATIC) is ranking third with Curve DAO Token (CRV) and Gitcoin (GTC) in fourth and fifth places.
