With this purchase, El Salvador’s BTC reserve contains 1,291 BTC, which is equivalent to $63.3 million.

BitMEX announced the launching of its native token called BMEX. FBI confiscated stolen $150 million in BTC from a Sony Life Insurance employee

The US Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that it will return more than $150 million stolen funds from a branch of Sony Group Corporation.

In May, an employee of Sony Life Insurance Company Ltd, Rei Ishii, embezzled $154 million from Sony and converted it into 3,879 BTC, then he transferred the funds to a cold wallet. The cost of these funds is valued today at more than $180 million.

The American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) recovered these stolen funds. Investigators had managed to obtain the private key required to access the attacker’s BTC address.

FBI Agent Susan Turner expressed her gratitude to Sony and Citibank for their quick response and cooperation as soon as the theft was detected.

MetaMask Announced NFT Integration in Extension

The developers of the MetaMask crypto wallet announced that the browser extension will integrate an NFT-enabled feature to be on par with their mobile app.

Earlier, the MetaMask team announced potential plans for a token release and an airdrop. In addition, they are also developing new features that enable the aggregation of assets across different networks and Layer 2 solutions.
