Weekly Market Summary

Investment company Kelly Strategic Management has applied with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to register an exchange-traded fund (ETF) based on Ethereum futures.

The Kelly Ethereum Ether Strategy ETF will target buying and selling ETH futures on Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).

Microstrategy has acquired 28% of all BTC that has been mined since their first purchase in August 2020. The company now owns around 121,044 BTC.

Jack Dorsey has left his post as Twitter CEO. He co-founded Twitter in 2006, transforming the platform into a massive social network with 211 million active users. The post of Twitter CEO will now be taken over by Twitter CTO Paraga Agrawala.

“I decided to leave Twitter because I believe the company is ready to abandon its founders. I deeply trust Paragu as the CEO of Twitter. 10 years of his work changed the company. I am deeply grateful to him for his skill, heart and soul. It’s time for him to drive ” said Jack.

NFTs for New Spider-Man Tickets

As to the statement of AMC CEO Adam Aron, American cinema chain AMC, in partnership with Sony Pictures, is launching a free NFT giveaway based on the new “Spider-Man: No Way Home” movie.

The AMC and Sony Pictures will hand out 86,000 NFTs to the subscribers of the AMC Stubs Membership Program , the Program’s A-List Tier followers and to the individual investors under the AMC Investor Connect brand. However, all of them have to order the tickets for Dec.16, the opening night of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, in advance.

Customers who qualify for the Spider-Man NFT will get an email on December 22 with redemption instructions. The token must be redeemed before March 1.

Meta (formerly Facebook) head of payments, David Marcus, said he had made the difficult decision to leave the company at the end of this year. He will be replaced by former Upwork CEO Stephan Kasriel, who joined Facebook last summer.

David Marcus didn’t explain the reasons for such a decision but noted that he plans to create something “new and exciting.”

So far, the “new and exciting” for him were crypto projects, but, unfortunately, they never reached a full launch. The top manager worked on the creation of the Meta Novi crypto wallet and the Diem stablecoin.

Derivatives: Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL) have become the most traded currencies as to trading derivatives. Ethereum (ETH) is following these two head to head with Terra (LUNA) and Polkadot (DOT) taking fourth and fifth places.
