To connect your dYdX v3 account to the GoodCrypto app you need to log in (connect your wallet) into the dYdX web interface and have your phone with GoodCrypto app installed in hand.
Once connected, your dYdX account will be instantly accessible in GoodCrypto web and mobile apps.
Connect your wallet to dYdX, click on the wallet icon in the upper right corner, then click ‘Sign into mobile‘. This will generate a QR code containing Stark key and API key that are needed for GoodCrypto to be able to sync your orders and positions and send orders to dYdX.
Once clicked, a precautionary window will pop up, reminding you not to share your QR code with anyone.
After eight seconds, click ‘Continue,’ and the QR code will appear on the screen.
Now let’s scan it with the mobile GoodCrypto app.
Open GoodCrypto app on your mobile device, go to Settings -> Exchanges -> dYdX v3. Click ‘Scan QR code‘ and scan the QR code generated by dYdX web interface in the previous step.
After scanning the QR code, the ApiKey and StarkKey fields will be filled in automatically with the keys to your account. dYdX API key is used to read your orders and positions, while the Stark Key is used to place orders on dYdX.
On this page you can also change the name of your dYdX account in GoodCrypto. It will be displayed across the app, so make sure to include the exchange’s name in some form to identify it.
Once you’ve done naming it – press Save and Validate.
Congratulations! You’ve just connected your dYdX v3 account to GoodCrypto. If everything went fine, the status next to dYdX will turn to OK, and you’ll see a green checkbox. You can begin using your dYdX account right away!
Meanwhile, GoodCrypto will import your account history as far back as dYdX API allows and sync open orders and positions.

In short – pretty secure. GoodCrypto uses the same connection method as dYdX native mobile app. This connection provides a comparable level of security to connecting your centralized exchange account to GoodCrypto using API key. The dYdX API key and dYdX Stark key that are used to make connection can only read your account, place orders on your behalf and withdraw your funds from StarkNet L2 back to your own L1 wallet that you used to fund your account. They DO NOT have arbitrary withdrawal rights.
